The house
Finca Monteluz was built in 1980, in a Spanish architecture we choose to honour. The arches, the natural stone base and the proportions of the house remain. Everything else is executed anew, under one design vision, from the facade to the door hardware. Every specification is defined in advance and controlled during execution.
Building services and comfort
Behind the familiar facade comes an entirely new technical foundation. The house becomes fully electric, with a heat pump, water-based underfloor heating and a climate and ventilation system on every floor. The electrical installation is renewed in full, as is the pipework: flexible water lines instead of copper, hot and cold, insulated along their entire run.
The envelope is engineered to match: 8 cm of external wall insulation on a 20 cm concrete wall, completed on the inside with mineral wool and a lining wall. Aluminium window frames with insulating double safety glazing seal the envelope. The objective is an A energy rating.
Materials and finish
Genuine travertine runs throughout the house. The kitchen is fitted to a high standard, with Miele appliances; the sanitaryware comes from our regular Northern European supplier. The living room gains a closed wood-burning stove. Kitchens and bathrooms are entirely new, within the same design vision as the rest of the house.
Pool house and outdoor living
Beside the house stands the pool house, with its own bathroom, a bar, a Spanish barbecue room and a traditional pizza oven. A compact wellness area completes it: a dry sauna, steam bath and cold plunge. The pool is fully renovated and the garden is laid out anew.
